About

Greyson Jones

Greyson was born on August 19, 1987 and died on July 4, 2022. His death was a direct result of a homophobic doctor’s violence against him during a medical procedure.

Greyson was an older brother, an uncle, a son and a loving partner. His family was so very proud of his achievements and his courage to live life authentically.

Greyson Jones completed his Master of Arts, in Sociology and Anthropology at the University of Windsor. He also completed a Bachelors with Honours in Forensic Science and Molecular Biology/Biochemistry also at the University of Windsor. Greyson was pursuing his doctorate in Philosophy and Sociology at the Dalhousie University.

Along with being a talented artist, Greyson was an advocate for mental health care, trans rights and access to healthcare. He was certified to complete WPATH forms for any clients that he counselled and advocated for their trans health.
